Summary: There are two stories combined in the story of Jonah. The first one called "Jonah. A Relictant Prophet" is about, how Jonah was told by the lord to go to Nineveh to warn the people of God and how he would destroy their land. But, Jonah did not want to do that so he tried to hide by going on to a ship. It turned out, that it did not work out well. There was a storm that happened because of Jonah. Finally after being patient, the other men finally threw Jonah over seas and Jonah was in a bellie of a wale of three days and three nights. Jonah prayed to God for forgiveness and another chance so God has the whale spit out Jonah onto dry land. Jonah finally delieverd the message to the city of Nineveh, that fourty days they where given to get their act together. The king of Nineveh ordered every human and animal to ask for forgiveness by not eating and drinking so that God would change his mind which God did. The second story is acctually a poem that is called "Jonah" by Lihn. Is a opinion of how he felt Jonah was uncertain.
